Gabriel Cruser, lowercase p's drum and sample wizard, was born January 27th of 1981 in Burlington, VT.
Classically trained on snare drum starting in the 6th he soon found himself at the drum set.
By the ninth grade he was taking private lessons on drum set and had also picked up the guitar.
His interest in music was clearly a focus and was turning into more of a contemporary and compositional pursuit
than that of playing classical music.
The lack of a band in high school led Gabriel to buy a four-track to record his compositions.
He bought a drum-machine, a bass, a guitar, a keyboard and started making all different kinds of music.
Being interested in hip-hop he started making beats for local MC's as well as writing raps and free styling.
He released several demos in high school to friends and family that are now funny and treasured pieces of his
musical history.
After high school he went to college to study music education. He soon realized that he didn't want to
direct a school band and decided to transfer to UMASS Lowell to study sound recording. This is where he met
the future band mates of lowercase p.
"From Debussy to the Clips, I like different music for different reasons." With an affinity toward
Medeski Martin and Wood, the Talking Heads, Mahavishnu Orchestra, the Slip, Gabriel makes a great addition to the band.
While he devotes most of his time toward his music and his career, Gabriel also enjoys cooking, hiking,
gardening, and reading. In addition, he began a production company called Timetone to launch his multiple side projects.
